Here are the Airstream stats for those out there that enjoy this type of detail…….. We will continue to update this list as we make modifications/improvements. In 2003, the Safari 25′ came with the option of an L sofa. Ours has the regular sofa that drops down to an extra bed.

Original parts given a green twist:
- Existing 76″ front sofa/sleeper with bottom storage reupholstered with organic cotton from O Ecotextiles
- Madagascar ebony eco veneer on existing cabinets/bulkheads using a low VOC 3M contact adhesive and low VOC semi-gloss finish
- Existing kitchen countertop re-surfaced with Marmoleum – remnants from a local eco store
Green updates – parts removed were either donated or put into the hands of other RVers. Our mission was to keep everything out of the landfill.
- Fixed corner bed – mattress replaced with full size Tea Leaf Supreme eco mattress from Keetsa
- 23 gallon black water tank (removed)
- Nature’s Head waterless composting toilet with continuous fan that runs on 1 amp
- Interior and exterior LED lighting from Elemental LED
- American Clay earthen plaster on walls/ceilings – carpet removed (this was the one thing we discarded and didn’t recycle)
- Marmoleum bathroom floor – remnants from a local eco store
- Recycled bamboo butcher block cutting board
- Vida cork plank flooring
- Organic bedding and towels
- Kirei board (sorghum stalks) used as a work desk – low VOC finish
- Paperstone bathroom countertop – remnants from a local eco store
- Ultra Violet 2gpm water filter, plus carbon filter for whole house water filtration
- Lumicor silver spun eco panel shower door
- Barker VIP 2000 electric jack
- Two 130 watt flexible solar panels by High Flex solar
- One 240 watt rigid solar panel by Trina Solar – can be tilted when parked for more sun collection
- 4 Fullriver AGM 6 volt batteries – 2 under the couch and 2 in the original battery box.
- Outback 2000 watt pure sine wave inverter/charger (under couch)
- Outback charge controller FlexMax 60 (under couch)
