Recycling – Airstream parts we removed
What are we doing with the Airstream parts we remove? Putting them in a landfill? Trying not to. Our goal during this remodel has been to recycle parts and get them into the hands of other RVers who want them and can use them. So here is the list of what has been removed and where it went.
Lights: Free to a local RVer
Non-electric Jack: Free to a local RVer
Dinette and table: Sold to a local RVer
Fold out table: Sold to a local RVer
Toilet: Sold to a local RVer
Mattress: Free to a local RVer
Microwave: Sold to a local RVer – freed up 40 lbs and extra storage space
Bathroom door and wall divider: Used to create additional cabinet space in the Airstream
Old shower door: Free to local RVer
Curtains: Donated to our local Goodwill
Accordion room divider: Sold to an RVer
Couch fabric (we reupholstered the couch): Donated to local fabric store
Magazine holder: Donated to Goodwill
Cabinet handles: Donated to Goodwill
Floor carpet: This was dirty, used and in our opinion not healthy. This we threw away.
Wall carpet: This was dirty, used and in our opinion not healthy. This we threw away.
Everything else we have kept in the Airstream.
